Who WE ARE
Tompkins Cortland Builders and Remodelors Association (TCBRA) is the local level association representing builder and remodeler members, associate members (representing trade subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals and associated professional businesses), in support of the home building industry. We are members of the state (NYSBA) and national (NAHB) level organizations giving us a direct voice in industry lobbying efforts.
our mission
Our mission is twofold:
First, we bring local members and associates together to share industry trends and market conditions, build camaraderie, and strengthen professional networks within the building industry. We keep members informed on important issues affecting the industry, including lobbying efforts, proposed and new legislation, and training opportunities at the local, state, and national levels.
Second, we promote and support the building and trades industry by providing updates on workforce development, training, and staffing needs. We engage with local schools through scholarship and internship opportunities, work with the media to raise awareness of legislative and housing-related issues, and create direct channels for members to voice concerns to staff and leadership. We also encourage leadership involvement to foster deeper understanding, advocacy, and service within our industry.
