Members of the Tompkins Cortland Builders and Remodelers Association gather several times each quarter at events hosted by member businesses. Meetings include discussions on local, regional, state, and national code changes and legislative updates that affect client demand, industry regulations, and pricing trends. Attendees also share insights and surveys on current local market conditions.
These gatherings provide valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and camaraderie among local building industry professionals. Members exchange knowledge about market conditions and outlooks, collaborate on projects, refer business opportunities, and build lasting professional relationships while enjoying food and refreshments. Members are also encouraged to serve in leadership roles as officers or committee participants.
TCBRA supports workforce development and trade education through scholarship opportunities, including matching support with the New York State Builders Association Research and Education Foundation (NYSBA REF) for trade education scholarships such as the William Moorehouse Scholarship.
All local members are also members of the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Through these affiliations, members gain access to professional training, certifications, leadership and volunteer opportunities, industry advocacy and lobbying efforts, legal resources and support, and a variety of member purchase and travel discounts.
